Yoga Classes
Current Fall Schedule
Class Levels with Descriptions
I~ Beginner Level - These classes are designed for a variety of students: those totally new to yoga who want to experience and learn some basic postures; those who have done some yoga before but may be limited due to injuries or age; and those students who don't yet have a regular yoga practice and feel unsure of an hour and a half long general class. This class lasts for one hour. II~General Level - These classes are aimed at students who have some recent yoga experience; last few months. Experience may be in the from of classes, videos, or even home study. The student should feel comfortable with some of the basic standing poses (triangle, warrior I and II, down dog, etc.) and be comfortable sitting on the floor. We start to explore shoulder stand and some of the other inverted postures in this hour and a half long class. III~Experienced - These classes are for those students who are experienced in yoga and practice on a regular basis (weekly). In order to protect the safety of the student, and have a class where students abilities are more closely matched, one must have practiced with Magi in the General Class setting before moving on to Level III . This allows both student and teacher time to develop a repoire based on mutual honesty and trust before moving on to some of the more challenging poses. This class also lasts for one and a half hours. Due to a break in the summer practice schedule, I am are postponing this level for a month or two.
